Kerry has a general commercial practice with a focus on corporate and government disputes, competition law, constitutional law, procurement law, medical law, health law, class actions, equality law, administrative and regulatory law, and general commercial law.
Before joining the bar she was a partner at Webber Wentzel. As an attorney she specialised in public law and litigated in the High Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal and the Constitutional Court.
Kerry holds a BA and LLB from the University of Cape Town (1997 and 2001), an Honours in African Studies from the University of Cape Town (1998), a Masters in Law from the University of London (2006) and a Masters In Public Administration from Harvard University (2014).
She was previously a member of the Medicines Control Council Legal Committee and was also of a member of a Panel appointed by the Council for Medical Schemes which investigated allegations of racial profiling by medical schemes.
She has held a number of board positions, and is currently a board member of Raising the Village (a non-profit which builds and develops pathways out of ultra-poverty).
