Stuart was admitted to the Bar in 2016 after completing pupillage with Steven Budlender. Stuart has argued in the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal, the High Court as well as in the Namibian Supreme Court.
Before joining the Bar, Stuart worked at Webber Wentzel and served as a law clerk to Justice Khampepe at the Constitutional Court. Stuart holds an LLM degree from Cambridge University, where he was a Commonwealth Scholar. He has completed the certificate in Advanced Company Law at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits).
Stuart is an advocacy trainer in the JHB Bar Advocacy Training programme, and serves as an external examiner (post-graduate) at Wits University. Stuart has published various articles in law journals and book chapters on international law (with Max du Plessis SC) and freedom of expression (with Dario Milo)
