Ayabonga conducts a general civil litigation practice with a focus on the law of contract, banking law, construction law, insolvency and other commercial matters, as well as delict. He also has a public law practice with a focus on administrative and regulatory law. Prior to being called to the Bar, Ayabonga was an attorney and clerked for Justice Jafta at the Constitutional Court.
Ayabonga has appeared and has reported judgments in various High and Appeal Courts, including the Constitutional Court. He has also appeared in the Commercial Court Division of the eSwatini High Court.
Ayabonga has advanced certificates in Administrative Law, Law of Banking and Financial Markets, Court Annexed Mediation, Competition Law, Economics of International and Investment Law, and Human Rights and the Market Place from the Mandela Institute, Wits. He also has a certificate in Finance, Contracts and Risk Mitigation from the Graduate School of Business, UCT.
