Nyoko holds a degree in Economics from Smith College (MA, USA), LLB and PhD degrees from the University of Cape Town, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Law from the University of Johannesburg.

Before being called to the Bar, Nyoko served as a law researcher to former Chief Justice Ngcobo, and later to Justices Froneman and Zondo, at the Constitutional Court of South Africa in 2011. In 2012, she worked as a researcher at the Centre for Applied Legal Studies (CALS) and as a part-time lecturer in jurisprudence and commercial law at Wits University.

Nyoko’s main practice areas are: competition law, insurance law, tax law, constitutional law, and administrative law.
